The developer is Baltic Pub Ltd., and it has completely revamped the existing edifice. State-of-the-art brewing and catering facilities and equipment will be installed, manufactured in the Czech Republic.

Doors are to open at the end of this year, and customers can expect classic types of Czech beer, snacks and entrees, and big screens all around for sports viewing. Interior work is being completed at this time, and management is hiring personnel.

Andrejs Sikors, the "Alus brālība" Association's chairman of the board, commented to Nozare.lv that "the appearance of new players on the market is a good thing; the number of micro-brews is growing, and this can be applauded. Such breweries offer a special product, satisfying consumer demand. Stiffer competition will facilitate beer drinking, and – maybe – boost consumption, which is quite low in Latvia."

"Stargorod" is one of the biggest breweries and entertainment complexes in Ukraine, with restaurants in Harkov, Lviv and Donetsk. The company's concept is the brewery, pub and eatery all under one roof which gives the customer the added pleasure of watching their libation being made.
