Nordecon to build EU's biggest dairy farm for Väätsa Agro

Nordecon Betoon OÜ, a subsidiary of Nordecon AS, and Väätsa Agro AS, a member of the Trigon Dairy Farming Group, signed a contract for the construction of dairy farming complex in Lõõla village, Väätsa parish, situated in central Estonia, Nordecon informed the Tallinn stock exchange. The construction is financed by SEB.
The first stage of the farming complex with auxiliary buildings and infrastructure is for the keeping of 2,200 head dairy cattle. The value of the contract is approximately 9 million euros (excluding VAT). Also existing buildings for the cattle will be renovated. Construction work starts in September 2013 and is expected to be completed in August 2014.
"For us this is the biggest contract that we have concluded so far in Estonia in the sphere of building agricultural buildings," said Nordecon Betoon manager Mait Rõõmusaar.
