Scandinavian furniture giant IKEA enters into Lithuania

The shopping centre IKEA will open on Zirniu Street, close to Vilnius International Airport, reported LETA/ELTA.
According to the company, the main aim of the IKEA is to offer assortment of the furniture and house wares. Moreover, the prices are intended to be reasonable, so that the shopping centre will be visited by more people.
It took 2 years to build the shopping centre of the area of the 26.5 thousand square meters. It was estimated, that IKEA created 240-250 new workplaces.
IKEA is a Swedish company registered in the Netherlands that designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture (such as beds, chairs, and desks), appliances, and home accessories. As of January 2008, the company is the world's largest furniture retailer. It was founded in Sweden in 1943 by a 17-year-old Ingvar Kamprad, who is one the world's richest people in 2013.
