To recognize this new service delivery model, Cytec rebranded its Riga office to be the new Cytec Global Business Services.

Since its inception, the primary objective of Cytec’s Global Business Services has been to provide quality services to a majority of the company, regardless of their location or time zone. Cytec hires employees from the Riga area to work in this office, and has invested more than $1.000.000 USD to date in staff training, including European Structural Funds.

On May 14th, Cytec marked this important milestone with a grand Launch Event at the Europa Biznesa Centrs (Ropazu iela 10, Riga). Honored guests included Cytec’s CEO Mr. S. Fleming, CFO Mr. D. Drillock, HR Vice President Ms. R. Charles and Latvia Director Mr. E. Boerrigter; His Excellence the U.S. Ambassador in Latvia Mr. M. Pekala and State Secretary at Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia Mr. J. Pūce.

During the event the guests stressed the importance of this launch for both Cytec and Latvia, and how Cytec Global Business Services is an example of how a transactional center can become a source of knowledge and experience. H.E. the U.S. Ambassador Mr. M. Pekala also acknowledged how Cytec Global Business Services is a great example of a successful collaboration between the U.S.A. and Latvia. After the new logo of Cytec Global Business Services was unveiled by Cytec’s CEO Mr. S. Fleming and the Director of Cytec GBS Mr. E. Boerrigter, the guests enjoyed a piece of the celebration cake that was baked for this special occasion.
