Building at Kalku Street 15 in Riga – most expensive real estate property sold in 2012

MNB nams building at Kalku Street 15 was sold for LVL 6.21 million in 2012 and was the most expensive real estate property sold in 2012, according to a survey carried out by the business magazine "Kapitals", writes LETA.

The building belonged to Baltic Property Trust Secura, a company registered in Denmark and currently undergoing liquidation. It was sold to "Key 15", owned by several Maltese and Italian legal entities and private individuals.

 

The second most expensive real estate property sold last year was a 510 square meter land plot at Kalku Street 3A. It was purchased by Norde Finance Group, a company owned by Belize's offshore NPS ImpEx Inc, for LVL 4.95 million and sold by 555 Brand Hotel, owned by Britain's Upmax Trading Limited.

 

The purchase of Elefant Hotel was the third most expensive real estate transaction last year. It amounted to LVL 4.4 million and was made by "Latvia Hotel Invest", owned by Cyprus' offshore Nolefe Enterprises Limited. Elefant was sold by Ektornet Commercial Latvia, a company selling the property of Swedbank debtors.

 

35 real estate transactions above LVL 1 million were registered in Riga last year, including 13 above LVL 2 million, according to the Land Register's data.
