Äripäev's TOP 100 winner is Estonian Molycorp Silmet

According to the annual TOP 100 list of Estonian companies compiled by the Äripäev newspaper, rare earths plant Molycorp Silmet emerges as the winner this year.

The TOP 100 list was compiled based on companies' 2011 economic results, turnover and its growth, operating profit and its growth and return on assets, writes LETA.

 

Last year, Molycorp Silmet was on the 27th place in the list. Molycorp Silmet's turnover and profit grew nearly three times last year.

 

The second place went this year to PKC Eesti AS which was the winner last year. It produces wiring and cables for electronics and truck industry.

 

Ericsson Eesti AS came third this year versus 10th place last year. It is one of the biggest exporters in Estonia and provides jobs for 1,300 people. Its estimated value grew 1.5 times in a year to 490 mln euros.

 

The top ten included also Viru Keemia Grupp AS, Alexela Logistics AS, Silvano Fashion Group AS, Tartu Mill AS, Horizon Tselluloosi ja Paberi AS, ABB AS and Santa Monica Networks Group OÜ.
