Lithuanian Transport Minister Eligijus Masiulis has confirmed that Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air might be operating from Palanga airport from the season 2013.
The flights would be operated to London, reports LETA/ELTA, referring to Vakaru ekspresas.
"The agreement is not signed yet, but we are close. By the way, one of the requirements of Wizz Air is to put "Klaipeda" next to the name of Palanga airport," the minister said.
He also claims that the negotiations are being held with some other airlines too to have a couple of routes from Western Lithuania to Western Europe.
