Print versionFive Lithuanian athletes who won medals at London Olympics will be rewarded with new BMW cars.

Such decision was made by National Olympic Committee of Lithuania (LTOK) in an extraordinary meeting on Thursday, writes LETA/ELTA.
The BMW 5 series will be given to modern pentathlon medalist Laura Asadauskaite, swimmer Ruta Meilutyte and canoeist Jevgenijus Suklinas, while bronze winner wrestler Aleksandras Kazakevicius and boxer Evaldas Petrauskas will receive BMW 3 series.
The worth of the cars stands at around LTL 900,000 (EUR 260,658).
