Tartu's first adventure park opens

The Raadila Adventure Park – the first in Tartu – opened doors on Wednesday, the Estonian national broadcasting corporation ERR reports.

The park currently has eight climbing tracks, four – for children and another four for adults, writes LETA.

 

The construction of the project lasted nearly one year.

 

The lad plot, where the park was constructed, used to be a deserted place, where 22 tons of waste.

 

According to Ragnar Kekkonen, head of the establishment, the remaining part of the territory with approximately 1.5 hectares floor area, will be used soon to offer more climbing tracks and walls.

 

Construction of the facility has so far cost around 100,000 euros.

 

Tartu is known as a "student city", and offers quite many amusing attractions. For example, Tartu Science Center AHHAA situated in a new building with almost 3,000 square meters. It was open on May 7, 2011. The center provides giant energy machine, or Newton's apple tree, the Hoberman sphere, the adventurous elevator journey inside the Earth, mini-labs, stock market, gift shop, planetarium and a lot of interesting and entertaining venues.
