In 2011, Lauma Fabrics turned over LVL 22.1 million, 15.1% more than in 2009, when the company's turnover amounted to LVL 19.2 million, writes LETA.
"We positively assess the company's results in 2011. The year was concluded in accordance with the planned budget," Lauma Fabrics Director General Edijs Eglins told Nozare.lv.
To achieve its goals for 2011, Lauma Fabrics not only increased the company's turnover on current and new markets, but also implemented several optimization and energy saving measures. The company managed to increase its production and sales volumes by consuming less energy. As a result, Lauma Fabrics achieved the planned profit and resumed investments in the company, explained Eglins.
LVL 0.5 million was invested in the company last year. "This year, we plan to invest LVL 1.1 million. For the company to continue developing, at least LVL 1.5 million must be invested in its equipment each year, said Eglins.
