Latvian UPB Holding’s turnover grew by 35% in 2011

In 2010, the concern posted EUR 50.8 million (LVL 35.6 million) in turnover, in 2009 – EUR 58.2 million (LVL 40.7 million), writes LETA.
UPB Holding management points out that 2011 was a very important year for the company. UPB Holding marked its 20th anniversary and was honored with the prestigious "Ruban d’Honneur" award and medal during "European Business Awards" gala event in Barcelona. The concern edged out more than 15,000 competitors, in "Import/Export" category, which indicates about its success in entrepreneurship, innovations and competitiveness on international markets.
UPB Holding incorporates more than 40 enterprises, which are united in independently operating groups, the largest among them being Aile Group, MB Betons Group, RK Metals Group, UPB Energy Group and UPB Nams Group.
During the past 19 years, UPB Holding has become one of the leading industrial concerns in Latvia with wide international operations.
The concern's main shareholders are Uldis Pilens with 41.28% of shares, Oskars Mors (24.54%), and Maris Mors (18.6%).
