Eesti Post will install 35 parcel terminals in Lithuania

Estonian state-owned postal company Eesti Post expands to Lithuania and will install 35 Post24 parcel terminals for outdoor conditions, usable at all hours, there, LETA/National Broadcsting reports.

This week, the terminals will be installed in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda and Siauliai. Terminals have already been installed in Alytu, Marijampolë and Mazeikiai.

 

Post24 network will start operating gradually in February.

 

In Lithuania, also a private clients self-service environment will be opened, and parcels registered via that can all be placed in one terminal box. Also it is possible to observe the route of the parcel from the Post24 web.

 

Eesti Post logistics division head Ansi Arumeel said that initially the parcels can be sent from one terminal to another, but later, courier delivery service will be added and in the near future the terminals in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania will be linked into a joint network that enables to send parcels from one state to another.
