Neurotechnology launches 3 new products

Danuta Pavilenene, BC, Vilnius, 10.01.2012.Print version
The Lithuania-incorporated provider of high-precision biometric identification technologies Neurotechnology has presented three products for mobile applications on Android smartphones and other devices – the software development kits (SDKs) VeriFinger Embedded, VeriLook Embedded and MegaMatcher Embedded, the company said in a statement.

The new software development kits – VeriFinger Embedded SDK – provides AFIS-level fingerprint recognition accuracy, as MINEX-compliant MegaMatcher fingerprint algorithm is used. The technology is able to process a fingerprint image in less than one second on one GHz smartphone; VeriLook Embedded SDK performs facial recognition using face images from the cameras which are integrated in smartphones, tables and other mobile or embedded devices. The biometric engine processes a single face from image or video in less than one second on one GHz smartphone. VeriLook Embedded is capable to detect all faces in an image and then process all detected faces; MegaMatcher Embedded SDK includes VeriFinger Embedded and VeriLook Embedded biometric engines together with fused multi-biometric matching algorithm, writes LETA/ELTA.

The VeriFinger Embedded, VeriLook Embedded and MegaMatcher Embedded biometric templates and API are the same as in MegaMatcher 4.2 PC-side multi-biometric technology. This ensures systems interoperability and allows faster and easier migrations from PC to embedded applications or vice-versa.

30 day trial version of VeriFinger, VeriLook and MegaMatcher Embedded SDKs are available for download.
