It took several months to modernize the previous website in order to meet the up-to-date tendencies for Internet sites, writes LETA.

The organization intends to present the city's tourism resources in a really attractive way.

The well-defined interface, connecting websites of Vilnius tourism, events and conferences, is designed to help tourists and tourism professionals in search for the information.

The website is informative, and provides a lot of photos and texts. The renewed website provides the coming tourists with practical information as the well-defined basic information has been the focus while creating this website, which provides a tourist with directions how to reach Vilnius, how to find a place to stay overnight, what to visit, how to spend free time, where to find places for going out and, of course, where to go for a shopping.

Having taken into consideration the direct flights between Vilnius and Paris, which are due to commence this year, and the feedback from French speaking tourists, the website has included the sixth language – French alongside Lithuanian, English, German, Polish and Russian.

More things were added while improving the functionality of the website. A new tool named 'My Vilnius' on the website will help to plan the stay in this city.

Together with a renewed website a new tourism product is introduced – audio-guide in format mp3 which provides tourists with a possibility of an independent self-guiding through the city. The audio record, downloaded from the Internet and saved in the mobile or mp3 player, will become a guide in Vilnius old town. The audio-record comes together with a map, directing a tourist through the offered route or helping them choose the most interesting places to visit.
