Norwegian textile company Protex opens new head office in Estonia

The new head office of Norwegian textile maker Protex was opened in Estonian city Pärnu on December 1, 2011, the Estonian news portal BBN writes. Protex has been producing textile products in Estonia since 1994.

The new production has been opened by the Norwegian ambassador in Estonia, Lise Kleven Grevstad in Pärnu, informs LETA.

 

The company has 145 employees in the Pärnu-based unit, including 14 administration workers.

 

Protex has also acquired the last manufacturing units belonging to the Estonian textile company – the Tallinn-based Marat.

 

"We are right now looking for new premises in Tallinn and I hope that we will be 45 employees in January and up to 100 in the first half 2012," says Martin H. Pedersen, COO of Protex that produces knit-, work- and sportswear and has invested 200,000 euros in Estonia this year alone.

 

Protex Pärnu subsidiary manufactures furniture upholstery, sportswear, casual wear, lingerie and promotional clothing for well-known Nordic brands.

 

Protex AS, Norway performs special production for some customers, product development and management of customer service and logistics services supporting the manufacturing in Estonia.
