Estonian businessman Teder wins top position in Äripäev’s richest people TOP 500 list

The winner of the Äripäev business paper’s annual TOP 500 list of the richest business people in Estonia declared this year trade and real estate businessman Hillar Teder as the winner with an estimated wealth of 383.5 million euros.

Teder is a shareholder of the O’Key supermarket chain operating in Russia and has many businesses in Ukraine, informs LETA.

 

The second place in this year’s top list goes to ship building industrialist, BLRT Group’ss biggest shareholder Fjodor Berman with estimated wealth of 189 million euros. The third is transit businessman Oleg Ossinovski with 164.9 million euros and fourth construction businessman Toomas Annus with 149 million euros. The top ten includes also transport and real estate businessman Marcel Vichmann (110.2 million euros), chemicals industry busienssman Priit Piilmann (103.1 million euros), BLRT’s second-biggest shareholder Valeri Kovalenko (99.6 million euros), casino owner Armin Karu with 84.4 million euros, transit businessman Anatoli Kanajev with 79.1 million euros and timber products businessman Igor Izraeljan with 75.4 million euros.

 

Äripäev noted that this year’s top lists an increasing amount of foreigners. 9.2% of the 500 richest people are women.

 

The total wealth of the 500 richest people grew from 7.04 billion to 7.85 billion euros or 11.5% in a year.
