Simple Express survey data shows that 38% travellers from Latvia visited Lithuania or Estonia one to two times, while 11% have done it more than two times.

"Desire to travel is still growing from year to year, but in the post-crisis period travelling expenses are planned more reasonably. Analysing the travelling habits, we have noticed a new trend – some people are willing to travel to nearby countries, but on condition that more often than once a year,” says Simple Express representative Vlada Kulmane.

Almost every second or 47% of travellers who have made trips to Baltic States this summer admitted that the total travel budget did not exceed 100 lats. From 100 to 200 lats were spent by 31% of respondents, while 15% of respondents reported 200 to 300 lats. Slightly more than 5% of travellers spent between 300 and 500 lats, while only 2% admitted that the travel budget was more than 500 lats.

Internet survey was carried out among 523 respondents aged 20 to 74 years.
