The Austrian company Europ Star, co-owned by the famous F-1 driver Ralf Schumacher, will provide commercial aviation services in Riga, as the newspaper "Bizness&Baltija" informs.

The office in Riga will focus on wealthy customers from Russia and the CIS.

The Europ Star office opening was announced at yesterday's international commercial aviation exhibition "Jet Expo 2011" in Moscow. The same sources also informed that ten percent of Europ Star shares belong to Ralf Schumacher, who will also engage in widening the customer base, writes LETA.

Europ Star representative Irina Turgute told the newspaper that the operator provides charter flights and manages aircraft owned by their customers. The company's fleet itself has ten airplanes, including Bombardier, Embraer, Cessna and Hawker Beechcraft, located in seven European airports. One of the planes – Beechcraft Premier IA is currently in Riga.

The office will be located in the Old Town and its services will be targeted at customers from Russia and CIS, its largest markets.
