On Friday, September 9, a special restaurant-flight on the Tallinn-London route will feature the Chef de Cuisine of Gloria, Dimitri Demjanov, presenting the menu personally. This restaurant menu will be available during September.

The project was launched in order to include chefs of esteemed restaurants to improve and enrich Estonian Air's on-board meals.

"Our goal was to prepare a menu which reflects Nordic cuisine and values local raw material and manufacturers," says Dimitri Demjanov, the owner and Chef of restaurant Gloria.

"A national carrier is the gateway to Estonia and thereby Estonian food has to be represented on board," added Demjanov, who alongside executive chef Stefan Jarts has developed about a dozen new recipes for Estonian Air.

Representation of Estonian food and the skills of local chefs is an important part of Estonian Air's new development strategy.

"We hope our cooperation with restaurants makes flights memorable, providing passengers with new taste experiences and showing the high level of Estonian chefs. The same time diversifying our Premium class menu," says Rauno Parras, Estonian Air's Commercial Vice President.

All meals offered on regular flights during September are made in cooperation with chefs of Airo Catering Services Estonia. “Preparing the onboard meals with the chefs of Gloria has been a creative and exciting process. Although there are unique rules and restrictions in preparing onboard meals, it is still possible to offer pleasant surprises,” says Rita Pappa, CEO of Airo Catering Serivices Estonia.
