KyotoCooling cuts Baltic Data Center energy use

The use of the KyotoCooling system at the Baltic Data Center in Vilnius has allowed the data center to reduce its energy use by 750,000 kilowatts per hour, it said.

It has also allowed it to reduce its CO2 emissions by more than 700 tonnes a year, reducing the use of chlorofluorocarbon refrigerant systems.
The data center has used KyotoCooling for about three years – it was the third data center to deploy the cooling solution, informs LETA/ELTA.
KyotoCooling uses free cooling and an outdoor air heat exchanger to fool down the servier room. Its most recently announced deployment was announced this year for Melbourne Airport, in Australia.
