Estonia adopted a new hotel stars system

Print versionStarting Monday, May 2, Estonian hotels and motels are subject to the new pan-European star system Hotelstars that should double the number of hotels with stars in Estonia.

The first hotels plan to join the new system in the next few months, National Broadcasting/LETA reports.
Estonian Hotels and Restaurants Association board chairman Feliks Mägus said that the new system will make it easier for tourists to compare Estonian accommodation establishments.
Mägus said that the system has been developed so that it would motivate to contribute more on the customer service quality.
30 accommodation establishments in Estonia have stars now. The first establishment to join the new Hotelstars system are Tallink Express hotel, City Hotel Portus and Savoy Boutique Hotel.
The association forecast that the new system will double the number of hotels with stars in Estonia by the end of 2012.
