The biggest export recruitment and training programme ever in Estonia called Export Revolution attracted 60 companies and 511 potential export managers to join, which was by far more than forecast, LETA/Postimees Online reports.

Estonian economy and communications minister Juhan Parts and the state-owned export promotion foundation Enterprise Estonia board member Maria Alajõe declared the program open on February 7. The program aims to search for young and internationally competitive export sales managers for 25 Estonian mid-sized companies interested in powerfully boosting exports.

Initiator of the program, Marketing Institute’s manager Anu-Mall Naarits said that organisers had not expected such high interest towards the program. She said that over 200 people among those who competed corresponded to requirements and the program organizers now have to create contacts between them and the 60 employers. She said that hopefully by the end of April the planned 25 companies and their new export managers can start the state-funded year-long training program.
