As compared to last year, the number of tourists and cruise ship trips has increased as then there were 4 trips with around 6,000 passengers.
Port of Tallinn passengers business manager Ingrid Berezin said that there is a clear increase of interest towards Estonia and Tallinn in Russia, especially in the Moscow and St Petersburg regions. “Here we have so to speak ordinary cruise tourists, meaning that the passengers will not stay overnight in Tallinn,” Berezin added.
The number of passengers serviced by Port of Tallinn will post a record this year, as the last year’s figure 7.26 million was exceeded already in November.
