GEFCO Baltic expands the staff number

GEFCO Baltic, a branch of the international logistics company, opens the Overseas Department and expands the staff number. Evia Robalde – the Head of Overseas Department, and Julius Cekauskas – GEFCO Baltic business development manager in Lithuania, have joined a team of GEFCO Baltic professionals in early December 2010.

At the moment of foundation of GEFCO Group, French enterprise’s representative in Latvia, there were 16 employees working for GEFCO Baltic in February 2008, and at the end of 2010 – there are 26.

 

"The increase of staff number is a logical step in the strategy of GEFCO Baltic. Our financial performance is steadily improving: in 2009 the company’s turnover totaled 11.7 million euros, which allowed us to get into the TOP 500 companies in Latvia," said William Le Clere, Director of GEFCO Baltic

 

According to William Le Clere, the active development is also planned for the next year. The Overseas Department was opened in November 2010, and early next year it is planned to open a branch of GEFCO Baltic in Lithuania based in Vilnius. In turn, the office premises in Riga have been doubled – up to 500 sq.m. 

 

Evia Robalde (born in 1975), which had previously worked as development manager in Sandy Time Company – a transport company, and worked on arrangement of air transportation in Schenker logistics company, was appointed to the post of the Head of Overseas Department of GEFCO Baltic.

 

In turn, Julius Cekauskas (1976) was appointed for the post of Business Development manager in Lithuania, earlier worked as development manager in the Baltic countries for Raben – international company providing logistics services, as well as Militzer & Munch – freight forwarding holding.
