Lithuania’s grain exports soar 32% in August y-o-y

Lithuania’s grain exports soared by 32% in August from a year earlier to 443,700 tons, writes LETA/BNS.

Wheat exports, at 441,300 tons, accounted for 99.5% of the country’s total grain sales abroad, according to Agrorinka, an agricultural publication.


Lithuania exported wheat to Latvia, Poland, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Iceland, Algeria, Nigeria, Singapore, the Republic of South Africa, the Marshall Islands, and Saudi Arabia at the average price of 176.3 euros per ton.
