Danske Bank opens new office building in Vilnius

Print versionDanske Bank, one of the largest financial groups in Northern Europe, is entering a new phase of operations in Vilnius that will see a two-year overhaul of the organization and internal work processes, reported LETA/BNS.

On Friday, the company is opening a modern building, named DC Valley, in the Danske Campus in Vilnius.
Danske Bank last year closed down its banking activities in the Baltic countries in the wake of a money laundering scandal in Estonia.
Several years ago, Danske Bank closed its retail and private banking activities in the Baltic states and stopped providing services to local businesses. Earlier this year, the bank's Lithuanian branch sold its private client loan portfolio to Siauliu Bankas for 108 mln euros.
Danske Bank and the Global Services Center in Vilnius currently employ about 4,000 people.
