Turnover of 1a.lv grows by 30% in Q1

In the first three months of this year Latvian online store 1a.lv saw its turnover grow 30% against the same period last year, 1a.lv representative Normunds Namnieks told LETA.

Meanwhile, the online stores of 1A retail group in Lithuania and Estonia - 1A.lt and 1A.ee - each raised their first-quarter turnover by roughly 40% year-on-year. The turnover of the 1A Group grew 32% year-on-year.


1A.lv board member Mareks Zuika said that the above results were an indication of a continued strong growth of e-commerce not only in Latvia but across the Baltic states.


According to the retailer's sales data for the first quarter of 2018, the steepest sales increase (171%) was recorded in the segment of pet supplies, followed by computer components and network products (103%), home, garden and renovation supplies (80%), household goods (71%), beauty and health care products (55%), as well as computer hardware and office supplies (46%).


Mobilukss, which runs the 1a.lv online store, posted EUR 31.512 million in turnover in 2016, a 37% increase on 2015, but the company's profit decreased 6.9% to EUR 33,320, according to Firmas.lv.


As reported, Mobilukss was founded in 2002, the company's share capital is EUR 110,000. Mobilukss belongs to the company's board member Mareks Zuika (55% of shares), CEO Genadijs Skrinniks (25%), and Kaspars Polis (20%).


1a Group also includes Lithuanian online store 1a.lt and the largest online store in Estonia, 1a.ee.
