Latvian-based airline Primera Air in 2018 will start direct flights from Toronto to its new hubs in London, Birmingham and Paris, the company reported LETA.

The new flights will be started from May 2018.

As reported, the Riga-based Primera Air has opened three new hubs in Europe and planned to conduct intercontinental flights to North America. The new hubs were opened in London, Paris and Birmingham in order to launch flights to New York and Boston in April 2018.

Primera Air was founded in 2004 in Iceland and initially operated charter flights for Scandinavian tour operators. In 2014 Primera Air moved their headquarters from Denmark to Latvia and expanded its operations with direct seat sales and a push into the low-cost air travel segment. Primera Air flies to more than 70 destinations using eight Boeing Next Generation aircraft.

Primera Air is part of Primera Travel Group, which includes the leading travel agencies in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland.
