EUR 55 mln to be invested in reconstruction of Alfa shopping mall in Riga

On October 3, Linstow Center Management (Linstow) and Multi Corporation will officially launched expansion of Alfa shopping mall in Riga by 30,000 square meters, Linstow reported LETA.

Total investments in the reconstruction project will reach EUR 55 million, and the project will be completed in August 2019.


The project will be implemented in cooperation with Merks construction company and financial partner Swedbank.


"The main reason for expansion is the growing demands of tenants and customers. After the project, Alfa will not only be the largest shopping center in Latvia, but will get a new position in the Latvian market, offering the broadest range of goods and services, catering and entertainment to families," said Linstow board chairman Frode Gronvold.


The shopping mall will be expanded by 30,000 square meters to reach 100,000 square meters, while the number of tenants will be increased from 170 to 250.


The new extension is designed in three floors with 6,500 square meters restaurant area. The third floor will house 500 square meters of children entertainment area, and there will be a sports club located in 1,700 square meters. There will be a new underground parking 

lot for 2,000 cars.


Shopping mall development and real estate management company Linstow operates in Latvia for 20 years and currently manages five shopping malls - Alfa, Origo, Galerija Centrs, Mols and Dole. The total commercial area under Linstow's management in Latvia exceeds 230,000 square meters and 329,000 square meters in the Baltics.
