FY revenue of Superalko owner climbs 2.5% to EUR 89.1 mln

OU Aldar Eesti, owner of the Superalko, Cityalko and Aldar Market alcohol stores in Estonia, boosted its revenue 2.5% year over year to 89.1 mln euros in 2016 while its profit fell from 1.3 mln to 322,042 euros, writes LETA/BNS.

The company described the openings of a Cityalko store in Mustamae, Tallinn, a Superalko store in Haapsalu, a Cityalko store in the Arsenal shopping center in Tallinn and a Superalko store at the address 6 Lootsi Street in Tallinn as the biggest investments made during the year. Two Superalko stores were opened in Latvia in 2016.


"We will go on looking for suitable retail premises with a view to opening new retail stores," the CEO said in the annual report.


In 2016, the company employed on the average 378 people and wage costs totaled 3 mln euros. In 2015, employees numbered 345 on the average and wage costs totaled 2.6 mln euros.


As at the end of 2016, Aldar Eesti had 36 sales unit.
