Rubenis becomes new CEO of Swedbank Latvia

Print versionThe supervisory board of Swedbank Latvia has officially appointed Reinis Rubenis has the bank’s new CEO, whole Liga Skendere, head of the finance division, and Ieva Vigante, head of the corporate banking department, have been appointed members of the bank’s management board.

The decision has been agreed with the European Central Bank as the supervisor of Latvia’s systemic banks.
Rubenis has been performing the duties of Swedbank CEO already since September after Maris Mancinskis resigned as head of Swedbank Latvia.
Renars Rusis, Vadims Frolovs and Girts Berzins continue their work on the Swedbank management board.
Swedbank’s management team also includes Ruta Malacanova, head of the credit and operational risk, Agnese Garda, head of the legal department, Agita Jakobsons, head of the staff department, and Maris Plume, head of the communications department.
Swedbank is the largest bank in Latvia by assets and client numbers.
