Weightlifter Koha sets wins bronze at European Championship

Print versionLatvia's Rebeka Koha won bronze at the European Weightlifting Championship in Norway on April 11th, 2016 with a new national record for Latvia, informs LETA.

The seventeen-year-old, the youngest competitor in weight category of up to 53 kilograms, lifted 90 kilograms in snatch and 108 in clean and jerk. The resulting 198 kilograms is a new national record for Latvia.
She also won a “small” bronze in clean and jerk.
Romania's Cristin Iovu won gold with 210 kilograms (90+120), while silver went to Iuliia Paratova of Ukraine whose result was 202 kilograms (94+108).
Last October, Koha won gold at the European U-20 championship.
