Online ads offering jobs at the fast-food restaurant suggest that the opening of the first Pizza Hut eatery in Riga is going to take place very soon.
The spokesman, however, was unable to name the date for the opening, but said that it will happen in the first quarter of 2016.
Around EUR 1 million will be invested in the development of the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) and Pizza Hut in Latvia, the KFC franchise owner in the Baltic countries Sigurdur Arnar Sigurdsson told LETA earlier.
The first KFC restaurant opened in Riga Old City on August 28, 2015.
KFC registered its trademark in Latvia already in 1992, according to information available on the Latvian Patent Office's website.
