Sweden's Trelleborg Group, a world leader in engineered polymer solutions, is investing another 350,000 euros in a new production line in the Taurage industrial park, in western Lithuania, Invest Lithuania said on December 11th, cites LETA/BNS.

It is planned that the investment will double the factory's production output and create five new jobs, the government's foreign investment promotion agency said in a press release.

"Following last year's reinforcement of seals production, production volumes have increased by 50% and the new line will further double them," it quoted Trelleborg Sealing Profiles Lithuanian CEO Marius Zukas as saying.

"The Taurage facility becomes an increasingly important part of the group," he added.

The new line will produce pipe seals of larger diameter and thickness.

The group's Lithuanian unit has been operating since 2006. The company, which now employs 46 people, last year posted 880,000 euros in revenue.

The Trelleborg Group has annual sales of over 2.4 billion euros.
