The Estonian beverage group Saku Olletehas, which has boosted its sales in Asia extensively in 2015, has started exporting its output to New Zealand and is working intensively to launch exports to Japan, informs LETA.

A container destined for Auckland exited the Saku Olletehas compound at Saku, a small own to the south of Tallinn, on Tuesday. In November, the company entered the markets of Hong Kong, Singapore and Nepal. Export to South Korea began in August and right now Saku is making intense efforts with export to Japan in mind, Margus Kastein, CEO of Saku Olletehas, told BNS.

The batch sent to New Zealand is made up of Saku Kuld, Humal & Oder, IPA and Dark Lager beers and Kiss ciders, Saku said.

"We believe that Saku's best products will get a warm welcome in New Zealand and we will be getting orders from Oceania's second biggest economy also in the future," Kastein said.

"We've been getting orders this fall from a number of Asian countries thanks to the contacts established at the Canton Fair business fair in China in spring," Kastein said, adding that the company had to thank the same event for the order from the buyer in New Zealand.

Saku exports approximately 50% of its output and its permanent export destinations number 18 at this point. Of the region's countries, it has previously exported its products to Australia.
