The Selver retail chain is about to open four new stores in Harju county and renovate the Veeriku Selver store in the southern city of Tartu during 2016 in Estonia, reports LETA.

"We are planning to open four new stores next year – Karberi Selver, Tahesaju Selver, Arsenali Selver, Maardu Selver. In addition comes the extended Veeriku Selver. Of course we will go on developing e-Selver," Selver board member Kristi Lomp told BNS on December 8th.

Lomp refused to say how many customers the Selver e-store has or how much they are selling by means of e-commerce. She also refused to be specific when asked about the size of the investment in the four stores.

Karberi Selver is due to be completed in spring 2016 and it will employ a workforce of 50. Situated in the same eastern Tallinn suburb of Lasnamae, Tahesaju Selver is expected to be completed next fall. The Arsenali Selver in northwestern Tallinn is scheduled to be completed at the beginning of next year and the Selver store in Maardu, to the east of Tallinn, in December 2016.

A company of the listed Tallinna Kaubamaja Grupp, Selver runs 44 stores all over Estonia and employs a workforce of 2,300.
