The Colorado ''Avalanche'' was established 20 years ago, after the Quebec ''Nordiques'' moved to Denver.

As part of the Colorado ''Avalanche's'' 20th Anniversary Season the club announced the 20th Anniversary Team as selected by the fans. Voting on the top 20 ''Avalanche'' players from the past 20 years took place during the last month.

A total of 12 forwards, six defensemen and two goaltenders have been named to the 20th Anniversary Team.

The 20 players will be honored in a special on-ice ceremony before Colorado's contest against the Minnesota ''Wild'' on December 7.
