Number of passengers at Lithuanian airports grew by 16.5% in January

Print versionIn January 2015, a total of 257,000 incoming and outgoing passengers used Lithuanian airports, or by 16.5% more than in January 2014, informs LETA/ELTA.

Statistics Lithuania reports that the most popular destinations from Lithuanian airports remained unchanged: United Kingdom (60,100 passengers or 23.4% of all passengers), Germany (25,200 or 9.8%), Norway (22,900 or 8.9%) and Italy (19,200 or 7.5%).
A total of 23,900 passengers were transported by Lithuanian airlines' aircrafts, or by 46.7% more than in January 2014. The majority of them (13,400 passengers or 56%) travelled on charter flights.
