GEFCO to ensure the transportation for water treatment plants in the Dominican Republic

As a specialist in intercontinental flows, GEFCO has been chosen to provide a tailor-made Overseas service to ensure the transportation and customs operations linked to the delivery of oversized materials and equipment required to construct the sanitation network and water treatment plants.
In total, 20 pieces of oversized equipment, representing a volume of 800 m3, will be loaded onto container ships and 300 containers shipped with construction materials and supplies for the project, including 150 km of piping. When the project is completed, some of the materials will be returned to where they came from. The material will be shipped from the ports of Le Havre, Antwerp, Marseille, Fort-de-France (in Martinique) and Pointe-à-Pitre (in Guadeloupe) to the ports of Rio Haina and Caucedo in the Dominican Republic. GEFCO will also supply special air freight solutions for the project.

GEFCO Brazil wins two new contracts
The Brazilian subsidiary is expanding its portfolio of clients and has announced new contracts with the manufacturer CNH Industrial and automotive parts manufacturer Valeo. GEFCO has been chosen by CNH Industrial to transport components used in the manufacture of agro-alimentary machinery, construction equipment and vehicles (buses, trucks and military vehicles). Valeo has called on GEFCO to supply logistics services to and from its four sites in Brazil, located in the state of São Paulo.

GEFCO Mexico attends the 2014 International Congress on Logistics
GEFCO attended CILOG 2014, the International Logistics and Supply Chain Congress held in Mexico from 15th- 17th October 2014. Bringing together the key players in the sector, the event highlighted the development of logistics operations in Latin America, as well as the key role of supply chain management in the competitiveness of international companies. Gilles Cudia, Managing Director of GEFCO Mexico, offered his insight into the latest innovations in the sector as part of a presentation regarding the importance and complexity of automotive logistics.

GEFCO Germany attends the 31st Logistics Congress in Berlin
The 31stLogistics Congress held in Berlin from 22nd to 24th October by the Bundesvereinigung Logistik (BVL), the leading German logistics association, brought together key players in the sector under the banner of "Complexity, Cost, Cooperation". With 3,000 registered visitors, the event is an opportunity for supply chain experts from around the world to meet and share their knowledge. GEFCO had the opportunity to demonstrate the full extent of its expertise to international visitors, as well as to establish new contacts and further consolidate the subsidiary's foothold in the country.
