Parex and DnB NORD banks receive awards from Deutsche Bank

Lithuanian commercial bank Parex Bankas won the "2007 EUR STP Excellence Award" for excellence in processing international payments in euro, the bank announced. DnB NORD Bankas was awarded for excellent quality of payment messages too. The award has been granted by the largest German bank Deutsche Bank, which is one of the leaders of financial services worldwide.

Parex Bankas was evaluated among all banks which process international payments in euro through Deutsche Bank. The German bank evaluated the quality of international payments in euro taking into account the smallest number of errors in transfer operations, informs LETA/ELTA.

 

Seeking quality and effectiveness of fund transfer and reliability of operations, Parex Bankas has been successfully introducing innovations in compliance with European standards. The bank is a member of the real-time system of international payments in euro TARGET2.

 

Customers of Parex Bankas may receive SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) payment standard transfers.

 

The recognition of excellence in STP went to DnB NORD Bankas for a second year in a row.

 

Deutsche Bank is the main correspondent bank of DnB NORD Bankas for international settlements in euro. About 70% of the total international transactions in single European currency of DnB NORD Bankas customers are performed through Deutsche Bank and this flow is increasing every year. High quality of the preparation and forwarding of the payment orders ensures that funds of the customer reach the beneficiary fast and safe.
