PM Straujuma: rumors about price of Citadele false

Print versionPublic rumors about the price for acquisition of Citadele Bank are false, Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma (Unity) said in an interview with the Latvian Television (LTV) show "Rita panorama" today, cites LETA.

LTV reported last week that, according to unofficial information, Ripplewood Holdings wants to pay half the government's original price for the bank, namely, "only" EUR 63 million.
The Cabinet plans to discuss and decide on the investor for Citadele at a closed meeting today, and the prime minister reports that the investor in question will be in Latvia today.
