Bondora received a direct lending licence that is Europe's only company licence connected only to direct lending.
Bondora's CEO Pärtel Tomberg said that the company's European clients will greatly benefit from the news.
So far Bondora operated without an operating permit since separate licences for direct lending companies didn’t exist. The British Financial Supervision Authority issues direct lending companies operating permits starting April.
Bondora is a peer-to-peer lending service that operates now in 29 European states and has more than 90,000 clients.
