Consumer leasing amount financed by Ukio Banko Lizingas increases by 30% in 10 months

During the ten months of this year, as against the respective period last year, the amount of new consumer leasing agreements on goods and services financed by Ukio Banko Lizingas, a leader in the consumer leasing market, surged by nearly 30% exceeding 128 million litas, the banking group said in a statement.

Ukio Banko Lizingas services have already been used by more than 657,000 clients. As of October 31, 2012, of this year Ukio Banko Lizingas portfolio amounted to 391.7 million litas, writes LETA.

 

"We consistently improve our performance results by strengthening cooperation with partners and actively working in the area of sales promotion. Attractive terms and conditions and first-class service quality in combination with a known brand encourage clients to select Ukio Banko Lizingas services," Mindaugas Valancius, Director General of Ukio Banko Lizingas, said.

 

During the ten months of this year, compared with the same period last year, the average amount financed under the agreement did not change and was slightly above 1,300 litas. This year, clients traditionally used leasing for acquiring household appliances, computer equipment, video and audio equipment, furniture and building materials.

 

Ukio Banko Lizingas services are available at more than 3,000 shops of business partners the range of which covers not only a wide variety of goods but also services: dental and other medical services, training, trips, repair services, SPA, etc.

 

"Recently we have noticed clients' increasing focus on e-shops. This trend has been relevant not for the first year and we believe it will grow. We will continue therefore offering more options to our clients to acquire goods on a hire-purchase basis without leaving their homes," Ukio Banko Lizingas's Director General said.

 

During the ten months of this year, as against the respective period last year, the number of agreements concluded by Ukio Banko Lizingas clients online more than quadrupled, while the amount financed in this way nearly quintupled. Currently Ukio Banko Lizingas clients can make purchases on a leasing basis at 190 online shops.

 

According to the data of the Association of Lithuanian Banks, as of December 31, 2012, Ukio Banko Lizingas held 61.61% of the consumer leasing market. Ukio Banko Lizingas, a subsidiary of Ukio Bankas, was established in 1997.
