NASDAQ OMX Tallinn welcomes Nordea Finland Estonia branch

Nordea Bank Finland Plc Estonia branch has been approved as a member on the NASDAQ OMX Tallinn stock exchange, Nordea said in a statement to the Stock Exchange.

Nordea Bank Finland Plc Estonia branch will trade on the NASDAQ OMX Tallinn Market under the trading code NRDE. The NASDAQ OMX Tallinn stock exchange has 32 members altogether.

 

Nordea Bank Estonia is a branch of Nordea Bank Finland, and is part of Nordea Bank AB, the biggest financial group in the Nordic countries.

 

The Nordea Bank financial group incorporates Nordea Bank Finland, Nordea Bank Norge, Nordea Bank Sweden and Nordea Bank Danmark, as well as insurance companies Vesta, Livia and Nordea Life and subsidiaries handling leasing, real estate and securities for the banks.

 

Nordea pursues three fields of activity: retail banking, business and institutional banking, and asset management and life insurance.

 

In the Nordic countries, the Nordea Group has nearly ten million customers and 1,400 branch offices. With 5,1 million e-customers, Nordea is among the leading Internet banking companies in the world. Nordea's shares are listed on the Stockholm, Helsinki and Copenhagen stock exchanges.

 

The Regional Bank, Poland and Baltic countries, which the Estonian branch is part of, was established within the group in April 1999. With the first office opened in Riga in the autumn of 1998, the bank expanded to Lithuania in 2000.

 

Nordea Bank Polska operates in Poland.

 

In addition to the Nordic countries, Baltic countries and Poland, which are considered the home market, Nordea is represented in 18 other countries worldwide.
