DnB NOR takes over all shares of DnB NORD

Since year-end of 2005, DnB NOR and Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale (NORD/LB) have jointly owned Bank DnB NORD, informs LETA/ELTA.
On August 2, 2010, DnB NOR exercised its option to acquire NORD/LB-owned 49% ownership interest in Bank DnB NORD.
Since then, the parties have been in negotiations to agree on the consideration for the shares. An agreement has now been reached and after the completion of the transaction, DnB NOR will own 100% of the shares in Bank DnB NORD.
Denmark-based Bank DnB NORD is the sole shareholder of AB DnB NORD Bankas.
DnB NORD Bankas is a member of DnB NORD banking group, which is an international commercial bank which offers full range of banking services to private individuals and business customers.
DnB NORD Bankas in Lithuania provides financial services to more than 650 000 individual and business customers, and ranks third in the country‘s banking market.
