Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius expects that foreign investors will find Lithuanian capital markets more attractive because of payments in euros, informs LETA/ELTA.
In addition, it is an important moment in the development of the Lithuanian capital market in the broad sense, Kubilius believes.
"Baltic securities markets have reached a high level of integration and a single currency for trade is another step towards full integration of the securities markets in our region. I am confident that this example will inspire the Baltic States for closer cooperation elsewhere as well," Prime Minister Kubilius said.
