Lithuania-based Ukio Bankas, expanding a spectrum of provided services, has offered insurance services to its clients in cooperation with Lithuania-located insurance company PZU Lietuva, Ukio Bankas reports. From now on Ukio Bankas provides a possibility to use insurance services of PZU Lietuva at all Ukio Bankas units, offering an obligatory motor drivers third party liability insurance and individual property insurance.

Ukio Bankas clients will have a possibility to obtain PZU Lietuva insurance not only at the bank's units but also using internet banking system Eta Bankas, writes LETA/ELTA.

"Ukio Bankas, having a steady position in retail banking field, seeks to provide more and more various financial services to its clients. By now, the bank's clients had a possibility to obtain life insurance services provided by the bank's subsidiary Bonum publicum and from now on, we will offer other types of insurance. We think that it will be more convenient to our clients to execute all financial transactions in one place – bank's unit or Eta Bankas", said Balanda Bradulskiene, the Director of Ukio Bankas Product Development Department.

Ukio Bankas and PZU Lietuva have linked electronic self-service systems of both companies, enabling Eta Bankas users directly to connect to PZU Lietuva self-service portal, to obtain the insurance and to pay premiums via Eta Bankas and further to continue administration of insurance service portfolio.

"We have one of the widest sales network in the country and continue searching for possibilities to be closer to the clients. Our objective is to make insurance services available at all most convenient channels to the people. Thus, to sell insurance at the banks, where all financial transactions are concentrated is a natural step of development," emphasised the Head of New Sales Channels Department Rimtas Vaitkunskas.

Purchasing PZU Lietuva insurance via the internet, the clients receive 15% discount.

PZU Lietuva clients will not need any additional passwords connecting via Eta Bankas – they will be identified by the electronic insurance system.

Ukio Bankas is the only bank in Lithuania having proposed even two means of modern connection to Eta Bankas – using a mobile telephone and USD key. Both means have digital certificates and electronic signatures integrated and are much more secure and faster to use.

Ukio Bankas encourages its clients to choose electronic banking services more often due to economic reasons as well – majority of banking services via Eta Bankas are cheaper.
