Dace Andersone – new editor-in-chief of newspaper "Diena" in Latvia

As of December 2, Dace Andersone is the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Diena", as the head of public relations at "Dienas mediji" publishing house, Anna Mukhka, informed the business information portal "Nozare.lv".

Previously, Andersone was the chief editor at the newspaper "Dienas Bizness" and served as the acting editor-in-chief at "Diena" starting October 9, 2009.

 

Andersone started working for "Dienas Bizness" 12 years ago and took on the position of the newspaper's editor-in-chief on February 1, 2008, reports LETA.

 

Andresone has been working in the journalism field for 19 years, her previous jobs have included positions at the private radio station "RadioAA", and publications "Atmoda Atputai" and "Vakara Zinas". Andersone has studied at the University of Latvia, Department of Philology, and at the Bonnier Media University in Sweden.

 

The new editor-in-chief "Dienas Bizness" will be announced in the nearest future; for now Inara Lazdina, the former "Dienas Bizness" development project manager and news editor, stands in as the acting chief editor of the newspaper.
