Electricity price at NPS Estonian region fell in July

Print versionThe system price of electricity at the Nordic electricity bourse Nord Pool Spot (NPS) increased in July by 1 percent to 33.81 EUR per MWh but prices in Finland and the Baltic States fell, Postimees Online reports.

Estonian main grid company Elering said that the electricity bourse price in the NPS Estonian price region fell by 24.6% as compared to June to 40.20 EUR per MWh. In Latvia and Lithuania, the price was equal, 49.16 EUR per MWh, falling 125 in Latvia and 10.3% in Lithuania, month-on-month, reported LETA.
The price of natural gas imported to Estonia fell in a month by almost 1 EUR to 31.30 EUR per MWh, Elering estimated. The price of CO2 emission quota was at the June level, in the range of 4.02-4.66 euros per tonne.
