Parts explained that current plans foresee connecting Baltic States’ transmission grid to the European networks among six important infrastructure projects.
He noted that establishing links will significantly improve greater efficiency on electricity markets and developing electricity and gas markets in Estonia in order to ensure efficiency of small electricity markets and avoid market manipulations.
The Baltic Interconnection Plan is involved in the European Union Energy Security and Solidarity Plan’s action plan for the first time.
